This Japanese issued Type 30 Arisaka rifle bayonet measures 20 1/4" long overall with a 4 1/4" long contoured wood handle having screws and a contoured bird's head shaped pommel and a 15" long blade. The bayonet fetures the straight contoured quillon and the pommel has serial #25549 with other charcter markings present. The bayonet was manufactured at the Howa Jyuko arsenal under Nagoya supervision and is in near excellent condition retaining over 92% original blue finish with the balance exhibiting a pleasing gray gun metal due to light wear. The metal scabbard is included and retains 99% original blue finish. A very fine specimen for the collector.
