History: The Winchester Repeating Arms Company introduced the model 63 as the improved version of their discontinued model 1903 semi-auto takedown rifle. The model 63 started out with a 20" barrel and quickly changed to a length of 23" long by 1936. This improved rifle was in the more common 22 LR caliber and featured a pistol grip stock. This rifle was discontinued in 1958 with 174,692 rifles manufactured.
