Thompson Center Arms introduced the TCR '83 Aristocrat in 1983 as the top of the line version of their single shot rifles and it was available in eight polpular calibers ranging from 22 Hornet to 30-06 Sprg. This rifle featured optional accessory barrels that were easily interchangeable, stainless steel double set triggers, a high luster blue finish, and checkered pistol grip walnut buttstock with cheek rest and forearm. Additional calibers were added the following year including a 12 gauge slug barrel but the Aristocrat line, in 1986, was discontinued after having a brief production run lasting only four years.
