Here is a very fine Paul Jaeger custom bolt action rifle on a 1930 dated small ring Mexican Mauser action in 6.5x55 caliber with a 22" long barrel having a bright, excellent bore. The underside of the barrel is dated "1/69" and the only markings on the top are "Paul Jaeger - Jenkintown, PA" and the caliber. The metal surfaces retain 99% of the hot immersion blue finish with the bolt handle in the white and the bolt body having been jewelled. This rifle is equipped with a "Finland" marked trigger housing assembly and fully checkered metal grip cap and butt plate by Neidner. The bedded custom fancy walnut stock with ebony forend cap, sling swivel studs, shadow line cheek rest and fine cut checkering is in excellent condition overall. Mechanically, this rifle functions as nice as it looks. The barrel supports a ramp front sight with hood and a Lyman folding leaf rear sight on a boss. The action supports a Lyman All American 2 1/2 x 20mm fixed power scope with a post and cross hair reticle on Weaver rings and two piece bases. A fabulous bolt action rifle in a great caliber by a well recognized custom rifle maker.
