This Japanese manufactured pistol grip wood stock with two piece butt section is for the Type 38 Arisaka bolt action rifle in 6.5 caliber and is in very good condition having been sanded and refinished many years ago by a previous owner. The stock additionally contains light dings, a couple moderate dents, scratches and  a short narrow chip behind the front band retaining spring inlet. There are no major cracks or major chips present. The stock has a reddish finish.  (file photos)
