This Winchester manufactured early variation hammer is for the model 1885 Low Wall single shot rifle designed for the flat mainspring mounted under the barrel. This hammer is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with light wear and possibly some scattered pin prick pitting. (file photos)
