This Thompson Center manufactured early variation tang is for the Pennsylvania Hunter muzzle loading carbine and designed for the two wood screws to attach it to the stock rather than the later style which uses the one wood screw in the rear and the one long machined screw which attaches to the inside of the late variation trigger guard. This tang is in very good condition with light wear. (file photo)
