Here is a very early Remington model 700 BDL bolt action rifle in 22-250 Rem. caliber with a 24" barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This rifle has serial #192669 and a date code of January 1966. The metal surfaces retain 99% original blue finish when not including the alloy butt plate which retains about 90% original finish remaining. The capped and checkered pistol grip Monte Carlo style walnut stock with cheek rest and ebony forend cap rates very good with light handling marks. It is my opinion that the stock has been shortened slightly due to the white edges of the alloy butt plate and loss of finish on the stock just ahead of the butt plate (see photos). The length of pull measures 12 1/2" long. The sights have been removed and a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40mm variable power rifle scope with excellent optics has been added using Weaver rings and two piece alloy bases. Mechanically, this rifle functions perfectly. A great early rifle that likely did a number on varmints these past 50 years.  {C&R}
