Here is a minty one owner first year of production cased Smith & Wesson model 57 double action revolver in 41 Magnum caliber with a 6" pinned barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This revolver has serial #S238993 and is currently on consignment by the original owner who purchased it brand new in October of 1964. Based upon the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wessons, the first model 57 revolver had serial #S236908 and was introduced in 1964. The revolver features a ramped front sight with red insert, adjustable rear sight with white outline, counterbored six shot cylinder and 10 groove serrated grip strap. The metal surfaces retain 99% original bright blue finish with minimal light wear due primarily to handling. The .500" Target hammer and .500" Target trigger retain 99% original case colors. The checkered Coke bottle shaped Goncalo Alves grips with factory medallions and diamond panels around the grip screw rate excellent. This revolver rests in its original blue velour lined mahogany presentation case with screw driver, cleaning impliments and papers.
