Here is a nice U.S. M1 30 caliber semi-auto carbine manufactured by the Saginaw SG. This carbine has serial #3484169 on the receiver, "Saginaw SG Div. / General Motors" marked barrel with large "P" proof mark and a bright bore. This carbine has a two rivet handguard marked "RSG" on the under side in small print and high wood pistol grip stock with a partially visible wheel and "S G" acceptance mark in a square box on the right side. The left side sling cut is stamped "RSG". The stock rates very good to near excellent with only a few light dings or handling marks. This carbine has the Type B safety, Type D operating slide, Type B magazine release stamped "SG", Type A front band, Type C recoil plate stamped "SG", Type A trigger housing with the vertical grooves in the magazine well and marked "SG" and a Type A non adjustable rear sight marked "S" on the left side and unmarked on the right side. The metal surfaces retain most of its dark dull blue finish with honest wear located primarily on the breech bolt, receiver and operating slide. The butt plate has more of a lighter gray finish when compared with the other parts. This carbine includes a sling, oiler and a commercial manufactured 15 round metal magazine. A nice example for a Saginaw M1 Carbine.  {C&R}
