Here is an early West German manufactured Weatherby Mark V Custom Grade bolt action rifle in 300 Wby Mag caliber with a 26" ported barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This rifle has serial #P54194 and was a top of the line rifle in its day. The metal surfaces retain about 85% thinning original blue finish with the receiver having more of a plumb color and the loss due to honest wear from use. The diamond inlayed rosewood grip capped Monte Carlo style Claro Walnut stock with factory vented recoil pad and rosewood forend tip rates good with numerous light dings and handling marks overall. The stock is sound and solid but it has a small compass installed along the rear of the comb (commonly done during its hay day). This stock would look signicicantly better if it was professionally refinished. Factory sling swivel studs are present along with a ramp front sight and folding leaf rear sight. The front sight hood is missing and two piece Weaver style scope bases are present. The floor plate is factory engraved with a riband containing the words "Weatherby Custom". Mechanically, this rifle functions perfectly. A quality rifle that likely brought home the venison every year.  (see photos)
