Here is a very nice U.S. M1 Garand semi-auto rifle by Springfield Armory in 30-06 caliber with a 24" barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This "11-66" dated "VAR" marked barrel has a "  {C&R}" at the muzzle and a "3" at the chamber. The receiver, "HRA" marked trigger housing, and lower sling swivel retain nearly all of their parkerized finish while the barrel, gas tube, National Match "SA" marked operating rod, "SA" marked breech bolt assembly, trigger guard, butt plate and other smaller parts retain the majority of their thinning blue finish with high edge wear (see photos). The rear sight peep is checkered to reduce glare and the receiver has serial #573909. A couple of the smaller internal parts are stamped "PB". The pistol grip walnut stock and hand guards rate excellent with a few light handing marks. In my opinion, with this barrel on this rifle, I am guessing that it shoots as nice as it looks.  {C&R}
