Here is a very fine and early Colt model 1908 Hammerless semi-auto pocket pistol in 380 Auto caliber with a 3 3/4" barrel having a bright, excellent bore. This early type II pistol has serial #9737 and was manufactured circa 1912. The metal surfaces retain 94-95% original reflective blue finish with the loss due mostly to holster wear. The trigger, safety and sides of the magazine release still retain 97% of their strong original fire blue finish. The factory magazine is marked "CAL. 380 / COLT" and retains 95% of a hot immersion blue finish that might not be original. The checkered hard rubber grips rate near excellent with light flattening of the points in the middle section of the right side panel. Mechanically, this pistol functions perfectly. A fabulous example of an early 1908 Hammerless Pocket Type II pistol.  {C&R}
