Here is a U.S. M1 30 caliber carbine manufactured by Underwood with many Winchester parts. This carbine has serial #2402893 on the receiver along with a "T" code behind it. The "W"marked barrel has a Winchester firing proof mark and a bright, excellent bore. The two rivet shallow groove handguard and low wood pistol grip walnut stock with a strong wheel acceptance mark on the right side rate near excellent with light handling marks. This carbine has a type C rotary safety, "7160091" stamped type E operating slide, "M" stamped type C magazine release with "W" stamping, type B front band,  type C recoil plate stamped "W", type C trigger housing stamped "W", a "W" stamped type C hammer and an adjustable rear sight stamped "H" within a shield on the right side. The metal surfaces retain most of their greenish military finish with light wear on high edges and in locations where operation would honestly wear parts. The butt plates has some light surface rust staining and the breech bolt has more of a dark blue finish. This carbine includes a 15 round magazine which retains a regular blue finish, cloth sling and oiler. A fine example of an Underwood M1 Carbine with tons of Winchester parts.  {C&R}
