A previous owner has written "CM" and "25" in black ink on the top of the box. "REG U S PAT OFF" is printed inside the dogbone logo. The product code "11" is printed in the lower left corner of the top panel. The front panel displays five lines of information including the following words: "THESE CARTRIDGES ARE POSITIVELY / NON-CORROSIVE". The back panel displays a Remington Model 12 rifle. The red ball logo is printed on the bottom of the box as well as a guarantee in English and Spanish. The English printing runs all the way to the rectangular border. A factory rubber stamped set of numbers/letters are present on the bottom panel. The inside of the end flaps display eleven lines of black printing running vertically and ending with the word "type". A semi-circle thumb cut is present on the right end of the box. The copper casings display the "U-3" headstamp and have a tarnish present.
Date of Manufacture: This style box was produced circa 1926.
Note: This box is the Huegel # REM-7.1A S-1(d) variation. This box displays the "I" front panel, "A" bottom, # 3 end flap, and "11" product code. The back of the box does not match any of Huegel's examples. The dogbone logo contains "REG U S PAT OFF". The bullets display two grooves, but we could not determine if they match Huegel's or not.
