Remington-UMC Lesmok Box of 22 Short Ammunition

This Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. manufactured factory sealed, two piece, split top, green cardboard box with red top label and side sealing band and orange bottom label contains all 50 rounds of Lesmok 22 Short R.F. ammunition and is in very good condition with light wear and dirt smudging. A small piece of the side sealing band is missing on the top, front edge. The top label displays the word Lesmok in white letters and the Remington UMC red ball logo (outlined in white) without the word Incorporated underneath. The bottom label is split into two halves with the guarantee printed in english and spanish. Beneath the spanish guarantee, aligned to the left, is the company name. The front of the side sealing band displays a Remington model 12 rifle while the back side features four lines of information. Due to the arrangement of the text, the 1st line ends with the word "Arms". Both ends display the red ball logo outlined in white.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1914 and was produced until 1922.

Note: This box is the Huegel # REM-2 S-2 variation. This box displays the (b) style front panel, (c) style ends, and (a) style bottom panel. The back panel is very similar to the (d) style, but the word spacing is slightly off.
