U.S. M1 30 Caliber Carbine by Standard Products

     Here is a U.S. M1 30 caliber carbine manufactured by Standard Products. This carbine has serial #1987215 on the receiver, an "Underwood / 3-43 / (flaming bomb)" marked barrel with a bright bore, a two rivet handguard stamped "S-HB" on the underside and a high wood pistol grip stock with "l0" stamped on the left side within the sling cut. This carbine has the type C safety, type C operating slide, type E magazine release, type B front band, type C recoil plate, late type A trigger housing stamped "Rock-Ola" on the right side with the vertical grooves in the magazine well, a "GM B" stamped type C hammer, a type B adjustable rear sight stamped "I.R. CO." on the right side and a "RIA" stamped front sight. The metal surfaces exhibit a mixture of thinning original military dull gray finish with a gun metal gray color due to an honest somewhat even wear overall. The stock and handguard rate very good with an added coat of varnish finish that if removed with steel wool, would improve the looks of this stock. This carbine includes a fifteen round magazine which retains a regular blue finish. A nice example of a Standard Products M1 Carbine.  {C&R}
