Thompson Center Hawken Percussion Muzzle Loading Rifle in 50 Caliber
Here is the nicest assembled Thompson Center Hawken percuussion kit rifle seen. This rifle is in 50 caliber with a 28" octagon barrel with a near excellent bore. This rifle has serial #K82305 and the barrel and tang retain 99% of a high luster hot immersion blue finish. The lock plate assembly with low spur hammer retains all of its original case colors. The brass hardware rates excellent just starting to gain a light ochre patina. The walnut stock rates excellent. This rifle features the replacement ramrod, original bead front sight and early first variation fully adjustable rear sight. Mechanically, this rifle functions perfectly. It is our opinion that this rifle went back to the factory a decade or more after it was manufactured and completely refinished and restocked.
