Woodsman (First Model)
Colt introduced the First model Woodsman pistol in 1927, replacing the Pre-Woodsman, and produced it until 1947, when they introduced its replacement with the Second model Woodsman. The First model Woodsman was manufactured in two barrel lengths known as the Sport and Target versions as well as a Match Target variation (listed separately). There are many small changes made to this model over its 21 year production period that make valuable differences to the collector including barrel styles, front sights, and mainspring housings. Additionally, Colt offered a total of 151 First model pistols with factory engraving.
