Remington Model Four Centerfire Rifle Parts
History: The Remington Arms Company introduced the model Four semi-auto rifle in 1981 as a higher priced hunting rifle, compared to the model 7400, featuring a high gloss Monte Carlo walnut stock with cheek rest, cut checkering, a fancier pistol grip cap and an imbedded cartridge head on the belly of the receiver. This model was available in six popular calibers even though it lists seven. One of its calibers had two different names during its production period depending upon its year of manufacture, 7mm Express (1981-83) and 280 Rem (1984-87). The model Four was manufactured in a Special Diamond Anniversary edition as well in order to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Remington semi-auto rifles with regards to its introduction of the model 8 in 1906. This commemorative featured a laser engraved receiver with gold inlays, a high gloss blue finish, premium checkered fancy walnut stocks and was limited to 1500 in manufacture. Note that the factory additionally produced a fancier variation of the standard model Four known as a High Grade version but these are extremely rare to encounter as only two are known to exist. The model Four had a relatively short production life of seven years when it was discontinued in 1987.
