Savage Sporter Model 23C Bolt Action Rifles: 1923 - 1942
Savage Arms Company introduced the Sporter model 23C bolt action rifle in 1923 as a centerfire version of their currently produced Sporter rimfire rifle. The Sporter model 23C rifle was chambered in 32-20 (32 W.C.F.) caliber and featured a 25" barrel, detachable magazine and walnut stock. This rifle was dicontinued in 1942 with the United States recently joining the fight in World War 2.
