Winchester Model 58 Rimfire Rifle Parts

     History: Winchester Repeating Arms Co introduced the model 58 bolt action single shot rifle in 1928 as a reduced cost version of their model 02 rifle.  The model 58 had a retail price of $5.50 which was $1.45 less than that of the model 02 and it featured a simple board like stock with rounded edges and a simple stamped metal trigger guard when compared with that of the model 02 rifle.  The public response to the model 58 rifle indicated that it competed directly with sales of the model 02 instead of with Winchester's competitors in the 22 single shot rifle market.  In September of 1930, the factory chose to discontinue the rifle but inventory was not dipleted until some time in 1931 with a total of 38,992 rifles manufactued and sold during this four year period.
