Remington Model 16 Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifles: 1914 - 1928
The Remington Arms Company introduced this takedown semi-auto rimfire rifle in 1914 and it was chambered in 22 Rem Auto caliber. This rifle featured walnut stocks and a tubular magazine that went in through the butt plate. This rifle was offered in their standard A grade with plain walnut stocks, a C grade with checkering and their D and F grades had engraving. This rifle was short lived being discontinued in 1928 with only 17,738 rifles made.
