This Springfield Armory manufactured firing pin spring is for the early model 1873 trapdoor rifle and carbine and is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with light wear. (file photo)
Note: Trapdoor rifles and carbines manufactured before June of 1878 with serial numbers below circa 85,000 would have been manufactured with this firing pin spring.
