This Springfield Armory manufactured late variation trigger guard assembly is for the model 1888 trapdoor rifle in 45-70 Govt. caliber and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina mixed with original blue finish and some specks of rust. The late variation trigger guard assembly features the third variation serrated face trigger. (file photo)
