This Springfield Armory manufactured upper barrel band with both the standard and stacking swivel is for the model 1873 trapdoor rifle and cadet rifle in 45-70 Govt. caliber and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of grayish brown patina with possibly some traces of original blue finish and specks of rust.  (file photo)

Note: Trapdoor rifles with serial numbers circa 18,000 or higher and cadet rifles with serial numbers circa 495,000 or higher would have used this barrel band.
