This Springfield Armory manufactured lower barrel band with the stacking swivel is for the model 1873 trapdoor carbine in 45-70 Govt. caliber and is in very good condition retaining 98% of an added hot immersion blue finish with light wear. This barrel band does not have the patent date stamping.   (file photo)

Note: Trapdoor carbines manufactured between 1874 and February of 1879 with serial numbers between circa 20,000 and 119,000 would have used this barrel band.
