This Springfield Armory manufactured rear (guard Bow) sling swivel screw measures approximately .590" in length and is for the trapdoor rifle in 45-70 Govt. caliber manufactured prior to January 1878 with a serial number below circa 81,000. This screw is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with light slot wear. (file photo)
