This Remington manufactured slightly curved metal butt plate with the circular "Remington - UMC" logo is for the No. 6 falling block rimfire rifle manufactured after 1912 and before Remington became incorporated (circa 1934/35). This butt plate is in good condition exhibiting a brown patina with surface rust specks and honest wear.  (file photo)
