This Remington manufactured 22" long first variation barrel assembly is for the model 740 Woodsmaster semi-auto rifle in 280 Rem. caliber and is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear. This barrel assembly consists of the barrel, barrel extension, barrel lug, front sight ramp, orifice ball and orifice screw. The first variation barrel has a dovetail notch for the first variation style rear sight which is sold separately. (file photos)
