This Remington manufactured green, red and off-white cardboard box with the dogbone design contains 47 of the original 50 rounds of Kleanbore 22 Automatic Rifle ammunition with copper cases and is in about good condition with moderate wear and a piece of cellophane tape stuck to the bottom of the box. The off-white portions of the box have turned tan with age. A piece of the colorful layer of paper is missing from the left end flap and the right end flap is missing completely. The cardboard ammo tray has a 9/16" split running down one corner. "REG U S PAT OFF" is printed inside the dogbone logo. The product code "R31" is printed on the top panel. The front panel displays five lines of information including the following words: "THESE CARTRIDGES ARE POSITIVELY / NON-CORROSIVE". The back panel displays five lines of information. The red ball logo is printed on the bottom of the box as well as a guarantee in English and Spanish. The English printing does NOT run all the way to the rectangular border. A factory rubber stamped set of numbers/letters are present on the bottom panel. The end flap warning reads "DANGEROUS / WITHIN 1 MILE" and the inside of the flaps display ten lines of red printing running horizontally. The last line reads "other than KLEANBORE". A semi-circle thumb cut is present on the right end of the box. The copper casings display the "U-3" headstamp and have a tarnish present.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced circa 1927.

Note: This box is the Huegel # REM-7.1B WA-1(e) variation. This box displays the "I" front panel, "XV" back panel, "A-1" bottom, # 7 & 9 end flap, and "R31" product code. The dogbone logo contains "REG U S PAT OFF".
