This Remington manufactured green, red and off-white cardboard box with the dog bone design contains all 50 rounds of Kleanbore Lubricated 22 LR ammunition with copper cases and is in about very good condition with light wear, a piece of clear tape stuck to the front and bottom panels, and a 5/8" long piece of the colorful layer of paper missing from the back panel. The off-white portions of the box have turned a light tan with age. "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF." is NOT printed inside the dogbone logo. The product code "R17L" is printed on the top panel. The front panel displays six lines of information. The back panel displays ten lines of information divided into three paragraphs. Eleven lines of information divided into three paragraphs are printed on the bottom. The first two paragraphs are printed in capital letters and the third paragraph contains Trademak information and is aligned to the left. Two factory rubber stamped sets of numbers/letters are faintly present on the bottom panel. The end flap warning reads "RANGE-ONE MILE / BE CAREFUL" in red ink. There is NO printing on the inside of the end flaps. A thumb cut is present on the right end of the box. The copper casings display the "U-3" headstamp and have a light tarnish present.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1931 and was produced until circa 1938.

Note: This box is the Huegel # REM-7.2 LR-1(i) variation. This box displays the "IV" front panel, "VIII" back panel, "C" bottom, # 12 end flap printed in red ink, and "R17L" product code. The dogbone logo does NOT contain "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.". This box uses copper casings.
