This Remington manufactured green, red and off-white cardboard box with the dog bone design contains all 50 rounds of Kleanbore Lubricated 22 Short ammunition with copper cases and is in very good condition with light wear and scuffing. A 1/4" split is present in the bottom hinge of the right end flap. "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF." is NOT printed inside the dogbone logo. The product code "R10L" is printed on the top panel. The front panel displays six lines of information. The back panel displays six lines of information divided into two paragraphs. The red ball logo WITHOUT "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF." underneath is printed on the bottom and there are NO patent numbers listed. A factory rubber stamped set of numbers/letters is present on the bottom panel. The inside of the end flaps display ten lines of red printing running horizontally. The last line reads "other than KLEANBORE". A semi-circle thumb cut is present on the right end of the box. The copper casings display the "U-3" headstamp and have a tarnish present. The lubrication on the bullets is turning brown from age.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1931 and was produced until circa 1937.

Note: This box is the Huegel # REM-7.2 S-1(e) variation. This box displays the "BB" bottom, # 7 & 9 end flap, and "R10L" product code. The front panel is similar to Huegel's "IV" panel. The difference observed is that the top line reads ".22 SHORT KLEANBORE". The back panel is similar to Huegel's "VIII" panel. The difference observed is that the middle paragraph is not present on this box. The dogbone logo does NOT contain "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.". This box uses copper casings.
