This Remington manufactured late variation 1" long butt plate screw is for the No. 4 rimfire rifle when using the 4th variation butt plate and the new model 4 rolling block rimfire rifle which uses the fifth variation butt plate and is in very good condition exhibiting a brown patina with light wear.  (file photo)
