This Remington manufactured green, red and buff cardboard box featuring the bowtie design contains 45 of the original 50 rounds of Kleanbore Hi-Speed 22 Winchester (Remington Special) ammunition with brass cases and is in very good condition with moderate high edge wear and a 7/8" tear along the top hinge of the left end flap. The bottom of the box is factory rubber stamped with two sets of numbers/letters. The top panel displays the product code "R28S" printed next to the bowtie, the words "MADE IN U.S.A." underneath the DuPont logo, and a thumb cut on the right edge. The bottom pannel displays three paragraphs of information above the trademark info. The end flap warning reads "RANGE-ONE MILE / BE CAREFUL". The brass casings display the "U-3" headstamp and have a few specks of tarnish present.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1936 and was produced until circa 1939.

Note: This box is the Huegel # REM-9 WRF-1(b) variation. This box displays the "E" style bottom, the #2 style end flap warning, the semi-circle thumb cut on the right end of the box, and the top panel featuring "MADE IN U.S.A." printed underneath the DUPONT logo.
