This Remington manufactured early variation bolt sub - assembly with straight handle is for the model 541-X bolt action rimfire target rifle and is in very good condition with light wear. The early variation bolt body lacks the locking notch that late variation bolt bodies have to prevent the bolt head from rotating.  This part lacks the bolt head assembly.(file photo)
