This Remington manufactured late variation bolt sub - assembly with straight handle is for the model 540 -XR bolt action rimfire rifle and is in very good condition with light wear. The late variation bolt body has the locking notch to prevent the bolt head from rotating.  This part lacks the bolt head assembly.(file photo)
