This Federal Cartridge Corporation / Sears, Roebuck & Co. / J.C. Higgins manufactured red, tan, white and black cardboard box contains 43 of the original 50 rounds of Xtra-Range 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and copper plated bullets and is in fair condition at best with moderate wear. A previous owner added clear tape to all sides of the box. A couple of the sides have more than one layer of tape present. The product code 342 is printed on the top panel and both end flaps and a warning is printed on the inside of the end flaps. The brass casings display the "XR-2" headstamp and have some spots of oxidation present.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in the early 1960's.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # LR-1 variation. The difference observed is that the brass casings display the "XR-2" headstamp.
