This Ruger manufactured second variation barreled receiver is for the early model 44 semi-auto carbine in 44 Magnum caliber which uses the first or second variation trigger guard assembly (having the upper forward semi-circular lip which attaches to the receiver) and the cartridge guide plate which mounts using two screws. The barrel is 18 1/2" long, has the early markings lacking the warning and has a bright bore that rates excellent. This barreled receiver is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear. Receivers are the only part on the model 44 carbine that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photo)
