This Ruger manufactured fourth variation barreled receiver is for the later model 44 semi-auto carbine in 44 Magnum caliber which uses the third variation trigger guard assembly (lacking the upper forward semi-circular lip). The barrel is 18 1/2" long and has a bright, excellent bore. The barreled receiver is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear. Receivers are the only part on the model 44 carbine that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photo)

Markings: The barrel has the third variation markings which were offered after the company became incorporated and in 1976 specifically: "Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. / Southport, Conn. U.S.A." on the top and "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty" on the left side.

Note: Ruger model 44 semi-auto carbines with the following serial numbers have been observed with this configuration: 102-23818.
