This Ruger manufactured second variation 18 1/2" long barrel is for the model 44 semi-auto carbine in 44 Magnum caliber which uses a rear barrel mounted folding sight and is in very good condition retaining a mixture of thinning original blue finish along with some added cold blue finish and a few specks of surface rust. The bore is bright and rates near excellent.  (file photo)

Markings: This barrel has the second variation markings which were offered after the company became incorprated: "Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. / Southport, Conn. U.S.A." on the top.
