This Mossberg manufactured early variation complete bolt assembly has no provision for a cover plate and is designed for the early variation model 42B bolt action rimfire rifle which is void of the scalloped cut in the receiver for the cover plate. The overall condition is very good exhibiting a grayish brown patina with some specks of rust. (file photo)
