This Mossberg manufactured 24" early variation barrel is for the early variation model 42B bolt action rimfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with light wear and a few scattered specks of surface rust staining. This barrel has the dovetail front sight notch and only one factory hole for mounting the rear sight.  Late variation barrels have a single drilled & tapped hole for the front sight and two holes for the rear sight.  (file photo)
