This U.S. Cartridge Co. manufactured buff cardboard box with black printing contains 40 of the original 50 rounds of 22 Short blank cartridges with copper cases and off-white wads and is in about good condition with moderate wear, a wrinkled corner, and a 1/2" split on the top, left edge. Several splits are either starting or present along the edges. The top end flap is split in two underneath the word "BLANK" and is held together and attached to the box by a piece of clear tape affixed to the back of the flap. One of the small inner flaps is also taped in place and the other inner flap is missing. A small piece of the cardboard box is missing next to the thumb cut on the back side. "TRADE / MARK" is printed above and below the "U.S" logo on the top panel. The copper casings display the "US-4" headstamp and have a tarnish present.

Date of Manufacture: Unknown. Likely 1910 to 1920.
