This Marlin manufactured early variation barreled receiver assembly is for the model 780 bolt action rimfire rifle and consists of the early variation barrel designed for the band type front sight, barrel retaining pin, cartridge guide, receiver having the full length extractor groove and the trigger stud. The overall condition is very good retaining over 95% original blue finish with light wear and a few specks of rust. The receiver is the only part on the model 780 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photo)
