This Marlin manufactured first variation barreled receiver is for the model 99 M1 semi-auto rimfire rifle and is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear. The first variation receiver does NOT have the serrated lines on the scope mounting rib or the hold open notch on the inner left side wall. The barrel is designed for the early variation ramp front sight which is secured using a binding screw.  The reciever is factory drilled and tapped on the left hand side for a reciever mounted peep sight. The receiver is the only part on the model 99 M1 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photos)
