This Marlin manufactured walnut butt stock with metal butt plate is for the standard weight model 1881 lever action rifle in 40-60 or 45-70 caliber and is in about very good condition having numerous light dings and handling marks. The metal butt plate exhibits a grayish brown patina with some specks of pin prick pitting present.  (file photos)
