This Savage manufactured stripped second variation trigger guard housing and tang is for the model 1903 slide action rimfire rifle and is in good condition exhibiting a brown patina with some scattered spots of rust and traces of original blue finish in protected areas.  (file photos)

Note: Second variation receivers will have a lower tang that has a slight downward curve at the rear most point and facory machined for the early variation ejector which is sold separately.
