This Savage manufactured third variation 23" long barrel with integral receiver is for the Sporter model 23A bolt action rimfire rifle which uses the bolt assembly with the raised lug and is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with a few specks of rust and a bright, excellent bore. The left side of the receiver is drilled and tapped for a receiver peep sight. This is the only part on the Sporter model 23A rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through an FFL dealer. Barreled receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photos)
