This Savage manufactured second variation barreled receiver is for the model 1903 slide action rimfire rifle and is in good condition exhibiting a brown patina with some scattered spots of rust and possibly a light ding or two and traces of original blue finish in protected areas. This is the only part on the model 1903 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transfered through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  The octagon barrel is 24" in length.  (file photos)

NOTE: Second variation barreled receivers will have the slightly curved lower tang and will be machined to accept the early variation ejector which is sold seperately.

NOTE: Savage model 1903 slide action rimfire rifles with the following serial numbers have been observed with second variation receivers: 10.146 & 86359
